This is something that is very rare on the East Coast. There was an earthquake in Virginia. The vibrations were felt as far away as Ohio and NYC. We felt some of the vibrations as well.We could actually feel the building shake a little today. No need to worry though. All students and staff were ok and the building is structurally sound.

Just mention "BCES" or "Brier Creek Elementary" to Q'doba and 20% of the sale will be donated to the BCES PTA. The fundraising event takes place all day til closing but only on A. So go out and enjoy a delicious meal and support our school at the same time.
Well I hope it was worth it! Getting caught in a traffic, the driving around for a parking space, the honking of the horns and perhaps use of inappropriate language to convey your displeasure of someone stealing your parking spot, the sensation of being in a mosh pit during a Green Day concert except you're at a Best Buy, the agony of listening to the salesperson try to pile on with additions to your already expensive purchase, the nerves of some people cutting in line and testing the patience of those who were waiting...I hope it was all worth it, just to save on taxes. For me personally, I say, yes! Anytime you can save $50 on a new computer, I think I can put up with a lot. Besides it happens only once a year. Then again, there is always Black Friday.
